Tiffany R. Cruz is the owner of Cruz Law Firm, P.A. Her practice encompasses all areas of Employment Law with a focus on sexual harassment cases, whistleblower claims, negotiation of severance agreements, employment contracts and resolving issues surrounding non-compete agreements. Ms. Cruz also handles predetermination hearings, Inspector General Investigations, and internal investigations on behalf of employees.
Ms. Cruz represents employees statewide in federal and state court and before administrative tribunals. She is an active member in the Labor and Employment Section of the Florida Bar, the Florida Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association, Tallahassee Women Lawyers, and the William H. Stafford Inns of Court. She served as President of the Capital City Justice Association. Ms. Cruz is frequently asked to speak on labor and employment, civil rights, and civil litigation issues statewide.
Before starting Cruz Law, Ms. Cruz was an Assistant State Attorney for the Second Judicial Circuit in Leon County, Florida, trying over fifty jury trials to verdict. Since 2012, Ms. Cruz has worked exclusively handling labor and employment and civil rights litigation in Tallahassee, Florida representing employees in a variety of complex litigation matters.
She received her B.A. in Legal Studies from the University of West Florida, her Master of Social Work from Florida State University and her J.D. from Barry University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Florida as well as the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Cruz is committed to pro bono work and serves as a court appointed attorney ad litem for children who have been the victim of sex trafficking.
In her downtime, you can find her cheering on her kids at the soccer and baseball fields, mountain biking, scuba diving, or volunteering in our community.
